Procurement Attorney

The Position
A global organization in the certification space is seeking a procurement attorney to support its software side of the business during a transition. This role will focus on three primary areas: software agreements (including SaaS, hosting, and data licensing), equipment purchases and leasing, and consultancy/vendor agreements tied to technology and AI initiatives.

The ideal candidate will have experience across procurement contract types and be comfortable handling both company and third-party paper.

This project starts ASAP and is estimated to be about three months or until the client hires an FTE. It's hybrid (Northbrook IL, Chicago, or Austin) or remote for exceptional candidates, and requires 20-30 hours per week. The hourly rate for this assignment is expected to be between $100 and $105. This range is an estimate; an employee’s compensation will be based on the employee’s qualifications, skillset, and relevant experience, specific client needs, project requirements, and other considerations permitted by law.

IP Transactional Attorney (Medical Device/Diagnostics Experience)

The Position
Our client, a well-established and innovative organization operating in a highly regulated industry, is seeking an experienced IP Transactions Attorney to provide support on a range of strategic partnering, licensing, and commercial matters. This role will work closely with business and legal stakeholders to structure, negotiate, and advise on complex IP-focused transactions, including licensing, collaboration, research, and development agreements that support innovation, external collaborations, and ongoing business initiatives.

The ideal candidate has a strong background counseling clients on intellectual property and transactional issues, with substantial experience drafting and negotiating sophisticated IP agreements and advising on market terms and negotiation strategy. The successful attorney will be comfortable translating complex legal concepts into practical business advice, driving stakeholder alignment across the organization, and effectively navigating a cross-functional environment with diverse stakeholders. The role requires a highly independent attorney who can manage matters with minimal supervision and serve as a trusted advisor to both legal and business teams. Experience supporting organizations focused on medical devices, diagnostics, life sciences, technology, research, or product development is highly valued. Prior law firm experience handling complex IP transactions is strongly preferred.

The Position

This attorney will work closely with internal stakeholders on SEC reporting obligations and help ensure filings, disclosures, and governance processes are executed accurately and efficiently.

The ideal candidate has completed 4–5 full reporting cycles at a NASDAQ-listed company and has significant hands-on experience with 10-Ks, 10-Qs, 8-Ks, and Forms 3 and 4. Candidates who have worked with proxy statements, executive compensation disclosures, or public-company governance matters will stand out. Experience with Workiva and/or BoardVantage is a plus.

The Position
Our client, a global technology company, is seeking a senior IP counsel to support its intellectual property function. This role partners closely with senior legal leadership and plays a key role in advancing the company’s IP efforts across a range of complex, high-impact areas.

You’ll help execute IP strategy across patents, trademarks, and copyrights, with a particular focus on software patent portfolio development, invention harvesting, and patent prosecution strategy, working closely with senior leadership, internal stakeholders, and external counsel. The role also includes advising on IP-related aspects of licensing, partnerships, M&A transactions, and litigation within a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

The ideal candidate brings direct experience leading intellectual property strategy and managing software patent portfolios, including invention harvesting, patent prosecution, and portfolio development, along with experience supporting software or SaaS-based businesses. This person should be personable, communicative, collaborative, and able to ramp quickly in a fast-paced environment. Prior trade secret protection exp is a plus. 

This project starts ASAP, is 30-40 hours per week for an estimated 6-12 month duration, and can be fully remote with a preference for West Coast candidates. Candidates local to the Bay Area who are open to occasional onsite work in San Francisco are a plus. 

The hourly rate for this assignment is expected to be between $120 and $125. The Position
A leading advanced energy and infrastructure company is seeking a senior Environmental Regulatory Attorney to support a portfolio of large-scale project developments across the United States.

This attorney will serve as a strategic advisor to experienced environmental and project teams, helping navigate environmental permitting, agency engagement, environmental reviews, and regulatory risk management for complex industrial and infrastructure projects. The role is highly consultative and is ideal for an attorney who enjoys solving challenging permitting issues, collaborating with technical experts, and helping project teams develop practical paths forward.

Candidates should have significant experience advising on environmental permitting and regulatory matters associated with large-scale project development. Experience with NEPA, Army Corps of Engineers permitting, Section 404 matters, U.S. Fish & Wildlife issues, Endangered Species Act considerations, and related environmental review processes is strongly preferred.

This is an excellent opportunity to work with a sophisticated team on nationally significant projects while maintaining a flexible, part-time schedule.

Contract Manager (Energy Experience)

The Position
A boutique legal advisory firm serving venture-backed and growth-stage companies is seeking an experienced Contracts Manager to support a portfolio of clients across the energy, industrial manufacturing, and technology sectors.

This role combines commercial contract negotiation with hands-on contract administration and lifecycle management. The majority of the work will involve reviewing and negotiating NDAs, vendor agreements, procurement agreements, MSAs, and SOWs, while also managing contract intake, routing agreements for execution, maintaining contract records, and supporting day-to-day workflow operations.

Candidates should also have prior experience supporting energy-sector clients and reviewing contracts in that industry, although this portion of the work is less than the above. Candidates should possesses strong commercial contracting skills and be comfortable handling routine contract management responsibilities the majority of the time while supporting substantive energy work on an as needed basis.

This project starts ASAP, is ongoing, is remote, and requires 20-40 hours/week. The hourly rate for this assignment is expected to be between $57 and $62. This range is an estimate; an employee’s compensation will be based on the employee’s qualifications, skillset, and relevant experience, specific client needs, project requirements, and other considerations permitted by law.
