Contracts Manager (Procurement Experience)

The Position
A large global industrial and technology organization is seeking an experienced Contracts Manager to support a lean Legal Operations team during a period of significant business growth. This person will focus initially on reviewing, redlining, and negotiating a high volume of nuanced NDAs, including direct negotiation with third-party counterparties and escalation of higher-risk provisions to attorneys.

The ideal candidate has several years of hands-on commercial contract experience and is comfortable independently reviewing and negotiating agreements using established playbooks. Relevant experience in energy, procurement, supply chain, oil and gas, technology, semiconductors, or a similarly transferable industry will be especially valuable. Experience with CLM platforms such as Ironclad and comfort using AI-enabled contract review tools are also helpful.

This project starts ASAP, is 4–6 months with potential conversion to FTE pending headcount approval, is hybrid in Houston, TX with a preference for 3 days onsite and 2 days remote, and requires 30–40 hours/week.

The hourly rate for this assignment is expected to be between $55 and $60. This range is an estimate; an employee’s compensation will be based on the employee’s qualifications, skillset, and relevant experience, specific client needs, project requirements, and other considerations permitted by law.

The Position
Our client is a global consumer products company specializing in office and school supplies. They are seeking an experienced Commercial and Marketing Counsel to provide interim support during a key transition period.

This attorney will partner closely with business stakeholders on a broad range of commercial and brand-related legal matters, including reviewing marketing and advertising claims, supporting claim substantiation and marketing compliance initiatives across multiple jurisdictions, including Europe, advising on trademark strategy and portfolio management, and negotiating a variety of commercial agreements such as vendor, distribution, and supply contracts. Experience supporting consumer products, consumer goods, manufacturing, retail, or other brand-driven organizations is highly desirable.

Targeting an ASAP start, 10-20 hours/week, for an estimated 2-3 month duration. This role is fully remote. Candidates located in CT or local to Lake Zurich, IL are a plus. 

The hourly rate for this assignment is expected to be between $112 and $116. Litigation Attorney (Labor & Employment)

The Position
A leading global commercial real estate services organization is seeking an experienced litigation attorney to provide part-time overflow support to its in-house litigation team. The attorney will ultimately be dedicated to supporting one an in-house litigator who oversees litigation arising across different commercial service lines.

The overarching need is for attorneys with L&E litigation experience. The work will span a varied litigation docket and may include L&E matters, business-facing disputes arising from commercial real estate transactions, and other litigation needs. Assignments can range from substantive legal work to more routine matters depending on where the team needs immediate support.

This is a high-volume environment, so the candidate should be comfortable moving seamlessly between unrelated matters and interacting with internal stakeholders and opposing counsel as needed. The team is looking a for low-ego, roll-up-your-sleeves attorney who is equally willing to tackle complex substantive work and straightforward tasks when that is what the team needs. Prior experience using a legal matter management system is required.

This project starts ASAP, is 3 months in duration, is remote supporting CT hours, and requires 20 hours/week. The hourly rate for this assignment is expected to be between $107 and $117. The Position
A leading global technology company is seeking an experienced Product Counsel to provide immediate support across a portfolio of high-impact consumer products and emerging initiatives. This is a true product counseling role involving both established products and new launches, with potential work spanning subscriptions and monetization, consumer advertising, and payments/fintech.

The ideal attorney has substantive experience advising product teams throughout the product lifecycle and can quickly understand how a product works, identify legal and business risks, and translate complex facts into practical guidance. Experience supporting launches, new features, product changes, or consumer-facing technology products is particularly relevant. Privacy experience is useful, but this is not a dedicated privacy role. Prior product counseling experience is the core requirement.

The team is particularly interested in attorneys who can ramp quickly and operate effectively in a fast-moving environment. Relevant experience with subscriptions, monetization, advertising, payments, or fintech would be a plus. 

This project starts ASAP, 40 hours/week, is initially 1–2 months with the potential to extend, is fully remote with West Coast candidates strongly preferred.

The hourly rate for this assignment is expected to be between $100 and $110. Commercial Attorney (Federal Government Experience)

The Position
A leading global software company is seeking an experienced attorney to provide parental leave coverage for its public sector licensing team. This attorney will negotiate software licensing agreements with federal, state, and local government customers and advise on the intersection of commercial licensing terms, government regulations, and procurement requirements.

The ideal candidate will have significant software licensing experience and prior experience supporting government customers, preferably at the federal level. Experience managing transactions involving distributors, resellers, or other channel partners is also important. Prior relevant experience within a large software company would be a plus. The attorney will manage a substantive portfolio of sophisticated public sector transactions, collaborate with an experienced legal team, and work closely with a senior attorney on the team.

This project starts in November, is approximately 4 to 6 months in duration with potential to extend through May, is fully remote, and requires 25 – 40 hours/week. 

The hourly rate for this assignment is expected to be between $105 and $107. The Position
A leading global industrial manufacturer is seeking an experienced Trade Compliance Subject Matter Expert to provide interim support to its existing trade compliance team. This is a highly technical role focused on U.S. export controls, particularly ITAR, and is ideal for someone who can serve as the team's go-to expert on difficult regulatory questions.

The candidate should bring deep hands-on expertise in ITAR and U.S. export controls, along with experience applying those requirements in a manufacturing environment. The role will involve interpreting complex regulations and translating them into clear, practical guidance the business can operationalize. The client needs a strong technical SME who can quickly provide dependable answers on high-risk export-control matters.

Start is ASAP, hours are still in flux but we're estimating 16-24 hours/week, duration is ongoing, fully remote with a strong preference for someone who can go onsite at their FL location or someone who is East Coast based.

The hourly rate for this assignment is expected to be between $83 – $108 for candidates located in NE/NW/West Coast regions and $80 – $103 for candidates located in the SE/MW/SW regions. This range is an estimate; an employee’s compensation will be based on the employee’s qualifications, skillset, and relevant experience, specific client needs, project requirements, and other considerations permitted by law.

In this role, you’ll be responsible for:

  • Crafting tailored and well-researched client outreach to communicate Paragon’s value and service offerings
  • Prospecting, nurturing, and closing new business using a sales plan that includes the use of email, phone calls, and LinkedIn
  • Leading client meetings with the aim of understanding their strategy, pain points, and hiring needs– and connecting those to Paragon’s offering and prior success
  • Building long-term, trusting, and value-added relationships with prospective clients
  • Managing the full sales cycle from demand generation to discovery meetings, relationship-building, scoping projects, talent matching, pricing, and contract negotiations
  • Expanding relationships within existing accounts and re-engaging past clients to revive and grow dormant relationships
  • Collaborating with Client Development and Recruiting teams to deliver a seamless client experience
  • Meeting quarterly and annual KPIs on pipeline development and revenue generation
  • Diligently logging and reporting on your activity within a CRM
  • Representing Paragon at conferences and trade shows, including networking, setting prospect meetings, and maintaining a visible and credible presence on social media through active posting and engagement

Competencies required for success in this role:

  • At least five years of experience selling professional services to C-Suite and senior executives in a consultative, relationship-based style
  • Prior experience within the legal profession including either the practice or business of law 
  • Achievement: You have a proven track record of success with measurable results in prior business development roles that included prospecting, nurturing, and closing on new business
  • Motivation: You are self-motivated and are able to drive things forward proactively. You have a strong sense of ownership over your work. You are driven and persistent to be both individually and collectively successful
  • Relationship-building: You have strong executive presence, and you are able to quickly establish credibility and rapport with senior client decision-makers. You have the ability to play the long-game in a relationship-based sales environment, and you make long-term decisions over short-term benefit

The base salary for this role is in the range of $100,000 – $120,000. This position is also eligible for uncapped commission and a performance-based bonus.  This range is an estimate; an employee’s compensation will be based on the employee’s qualifications, skillset and relevant experience, and other considerations permitted by law.
