Portfolio Compliance Analyst

The Position
A sophisticated investment management organization is seeking an experienced Portfolio Compliance Analyst to support its portfolio compliance function during a period of significant organizational transition. This is an opportunity to work closely with a team responsible for compliance oversight across registered mutual funds and private funds, including new product launches, daily compliance testing, regulatory implementation, and fund board reporting.

The ideal candidate will have at least five years of portfolio compliance experience and strong knowledge of the Investment Company Act of 1940. The work will include analyzing investment guidelines and creating corresponding compliance rules, supporting fund launches, updating and troubleshooting compliance rules, monitoring post-trade activity, supporting regulatory filings and testing, and investigating and remediating compliance issues. Experience with sub-advised mutual funds, fund-of-funds, or multi-advised fund structures is preferred.

This project starts ASAP, is through December 31, 2026 with potential for renewal, is remote supporting ET hours, and requires 30–40 hours/week. The hourly rate for this assignment is expected to be between $75 and $85. Compliance Attorney (FDA Regulation Experience)

The Position
A pharmaceutical/biotech organization is seeking an experienced Compliance Attorney to provide flexible, part-time support following unexpected changes on the team. This is an opportunity to step into meaningful, high-impact work supporting a product in a highly competitive market.

A major focus will be serving as a legal/compliance reviewer for promotional materials, partnering closely with Marketing and other cross-functional stakeholders. Candidates should have direct pharma/biotech promotional review/PRC experience and strong knowledge of recent FDA promotional regulations and healthcare compliance requirements.

The attorney should be comfortable exercising judgment, pushing back when needed, and helping business partners find practical, compliant paths forward. Veeva Promo Materials experience is highly helpful.

The broader scope may include healthcare compliance counseling, contract review and negotiation, and additional compliance projects as needs arise.

This project starts ASAP and ongoing until more permanent support is identified. This project is fully remote and flexible with timing however attorneys must be available for standing one-hour meetings Tuesdays at 2:00 p.m. Eastern.
 

The hourly rate for this assignment is expected to be between $110 and $130. This range is an estimate; an employee’s compensation will be based on the employee’s qualifications, skillset, and relevant experience, specific client needs, project requirements, and other considerations permitted by law.

The Position
Our client is an innovative biotechnology company seeking an experienced Commercial Contract Attorney to support its commercial legal team during a parental leave. This is an opportunity to work closely with Commercial, Marketing, Sales, Market Access, and Medical Affairs stakeholders while advising on sophisticated commercial agreements that support product launch and post-launch activities.

The ideal candidate has at least five years of pharmaceutical or biotechnology commercial legal experience and is comfortable independently drafting, reviewing, and negotiating a broad range of commercial agreements. You'll be joining an experienced legal team that values practical business advice, collaboration, and creative problem solving over simply identifying legal obstacles. Experience with contract lifecycle management systems, including Conga CLM, is a plus but not required.

This project starts September 28, 2026, is through approximately March 15, 2027, is remote, and requires 40 hours/week with a preference for Pacific Time availability.

The hourly rate for this assignment is expected to be between $95 and $115. The Position
A leading global consumer technology company is seeking a mid-to-senior-level commercial attorney to join its growing legal team. This attorney will join a collaborative legal group that advises the business across brick-and-mortar retail, e-commerce, customer support channels, and global retail initiatives. The work is intentionally broad and fast-paced, spanning commercial contract negotiations, drafting agreements with external partners, consumer terms and conditions, marketing reviews, consumer and pricing regulations, customer escalations, and day-to-day retail operational matters.

The ideal candidate has 6 to 14 years of legal experience, including strong law firm training, and brings excellent analytical, drafting, negotiation, and communication skills. The team is looking for someone who can quickly take ownership of matters, exercise sound legal judgment, work independently with minimal oversight, and effectively partner with cross-functional stakeholders to drive practical business solutions. Prior retail or technology experience is a plus but is not required; the client is primarily focused on candidates with strong legal fundamentals and the ability to learn a new business quickly.

This project starts ASAP, is six months with potential to extend, is hybrid in Cupertino, CA, and requires onsite attendance every Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. The engagement requires 40 hours per week.

The hourly rate for this assignment is expected to be between $95 and $107. In this role, you’ll be responsible for:

  • Crafting tailored and well-researched client outreach to communicate Paragon’s value and service offerings
  • Prospecting, nurturing, and closing new business using a sales plan that includes the use of email, phone calls, and LinkedIn
  • Leading client meetings with the aim of understanding their strategy, pain points, and hiring needs– and connecting those to Paragon’s offering and prior success
  • Building long-term, trusting, and value-added relationships with prospective clients
  • Managing the full sales cycle from demand generation to discovery meetings, relationship-building, scoping projects, talent matching, pricing, and contract negotiations
  • Expanding relationships within existing accounts and re-engaging past clients to revive and grow dormant relationships
  • Collaborating with Client Development and Recruiting teams to deliver a seamless client experience
  • Meeting quarterly and annual KPIs on pipeline development and revenue generation
  • Diligently logging and reporting on your activity within a CRM
  • Representing Paragon at conferences and trade shows, including networking, setting prospect meetings, and maintaining a visible and credible presence on social media through active posting and engagement

Competencies required for success in this role:

  • At least five years of experience selling professional services to C-Suite and senior executives in a consultative, relationship-based style
  • Prior experience within the legal profession including either the practice or business of law 
  • Achievement: You have a proven track record of success with measurable results in prior business development roles that included prospecting, nurturing, and closing on new business
  • Motivation: You are self-motivated and are able to drive things forward proactively. You have a strong sense of ownership over your work. You are driven and persistent to be both individually and collectively successful
  • Relationship-building: You have strong executive presence, and you are able to quickly establish credibility and rapport with senior client decision-makers. You have the ability to play the long-game in a relationship-based sales environment, and you make long-term decisions over short-term benefit
  • Builder’s mentality: We are a growth-stage business and are looking for someone who enjoys working on a lean, scrappy, and tight-knit team.  If you’re excited about the idea of building something special that hasn’t been done before, then we want to hear from you
  • Collaboration: You have a one-team orientation and a strong desire and willingness to work collaboratively across the Paragon team. This is a fully-remote position with travel required for client meetings, conferences, team gatherings, etc (roughly 6-10x per year).

The base salary for this role is in the range of $100,000 – $120,000. This position is also eligible for uncapped commission and a performance-based bonus.  This range is an estimate; an employee’s compensation will be based on the employee’s qualifications, skillset and relevant experience, and other considerations permitted by law.
