Compliance Regulatory Attorney (MSFTA & ISDA Experience)

The Position
A leading investment management company is seeking a financial regulatory/compliance attorney. This person will take ownership of end-to-end documentation and negotiation for MSFTA and ISDA matters.

This is an ideal opportunity for a lawyer who is a self-starter, enjoys direct negotiation with counterparties and has the emotional intelligence to ensure positive engagement from both internal and external stakeholders.

This remote, ongoing position will require a 10 hour weekly commitment. The hourly rate for this assignment is expected to be between $115 and $125. This range is an estimate; an employee’s compensation will be based on the employee’s qualifications, skillset, and relevant experience, specific client needs, project requirements, and other considerations permitted by law.

Commercial Attorney (IP Transaction Experience)

The Position
A well known consumer products company is seeking an experienced IP transactions attorney with a strong commercial contracting background. This role will partner closely with R&D and procurement on cross functional IP intensive work. Day to day responsibilities will include drafting, reviewing, and negotiating agreements involving technology related assets, formulas, designs, and joint development or technical collaboration arrangements. Candidates should have meaningful experience navigating IP ownership issues and managing exclusivity and other high risk IP considerations across a broad range of commercial agreements.

The ideal candidate is comfortable working in a lean, fast paced environment and brings a highly collaborative, communicative, team player mindset.

This project starts ASAP, 25-35 hrs/week, for an initial 3 month duration and can be fully remote. Candidates local to the San Francisco Bay Area and available to come onsite in Oakland 1-2 times per week are an added bonus.

The hourly rate for this assignment is expected to be between $97 and $107. This range is an estimate; an employee’s compensation will be based on the employee’s qualifications, skillset, and relevant experience, specific client needs, project requirements, and other considerations permitted by law.

Interim Counsel (Non-profit Experience)

The Position
Our client is a well-regarded climate non-profit. They are seeking a senior legal advisor to serve as their sole counsel. Focus areas and responsibilities include: 

  • Building out legal infrastructure, leading risk management, compliance and policy and ethics initiatives
  • Developing and delivering legal training to non-legal staff and leadership
  • Providing contract oversight and repository build out 
  • Managing compliance and providing guidance on 501(c)(3) and 501(c)(4) nonprofit regulations and IRS rules

This counsel will be instrumental in building out legal infrastructure from the ground up. Candidates must be licensed in CA, have prior GC level experience, and experience advising 501(c)(3) / 501(c)(4) organizations. This role is ideal for someone who is comfortable rolling up their sleeves and building systems from scratch. 

Targeting an ASAP start for an ongoing duration, 15-20 hours per week. This role is hybrid and requires 3-4 days onsite per month in the San Francisco Bay Area. 

The hourly rate for this assignment is expected to be between $125 and $137 This range is an estimate; an employee’s compensation will be based on the employee’s qualifications, skillset, and relevant experience, specific client needs, project requirements, and other considerations permitted by law.

A well-known technology company is seeking a privacy attorney to support its marketing function during a hiring gap. Core responsibilities include reviewing email opt-in language, vetting third-party data providers, advising on consent requirements across jurisdictions, and helping define compliant audience segmentation.

This role is ideal for someone who combines deep privacy expertise with strong communication skills, who can confidently advise non-legal teams and translate complex legal concepts for non-legal partners in a fast-moving environment. Experience working with Marketo is a strong preference for this role (must be listed on resume).

Our client is looking to have someone in the seat ASAP for 40 hours/week. The initial duration is three months, with the potential to extend depending on fit and overall business needs. Candidates can be fully remote.

The hourly rate for this assignment is expected to be between $105 and $115.
