Corporate Generalist (Marketing & Partnership Agreement Experience)

The Position
A well-known consumer retail and e-commerce brand is seeking an experienced legal generalist to support a lean legal team during a period of rapid retail expansion. This role will be heavily focused on legal work tied to opening new brick-and-mortar stores, including hands-on support with store-opening compliance across multiple states.

Responsibilities will include reviewing and supporting non-complex commercial agreements such as NDAs, marketing and partnership agreements, and SaaS-related website add-ons, as well as advising on consumer-facing policies tied to store openings and ecommerce operations. This includes work around terms and conditions, promotions, returns, gift cards, email collection practices, and related data processing considerations, with an emphasis on multi-state and California-specific compliance.

The ideal candidate is highly collaborative, practical, and business-minded, with strong communication skills and high EQ. Candidates must have prior experience supporting retail or consumer brands, ideally with direct experience overseeing or supporting the opening of brick-and-mortar retail stores.

Targeting an ASAP start, 10-15 hours/week, for an initial 3 month duration. This position is fully remote, though candidates local to Southern California are a plus.

The hourly rate for this assignment is expected to be between $97 and $107 This range is an estimate; an employee’s compensation will be based on the employee’s qualifications, skillset, and relevant experience, specific client needs, project requirements, and other considerations permitted by law.

Commercial Generalist

The Position
An advanced manufacturing company is seeking a senior commercial generalist attorney to provide hands-on legal support during a period of expansion. This role will support a broad range of corporate matters, including reviewing and negotiating commercial agreements and government-facing, defense-adjacent contracts tied to federally regulated programs. Responsibilities also include supporting HR and company policy updates across new jurisdictions and assisting with share conversion work following a transition from public to private ownership.

Candidates must have experience working with government contracts or defense-adjacent agreements, ideally within mechanical engineering, aerospace, or advanced manufacturing industries or environments. Strong California law experience is also required. The ideal candidate thrives in lean environments, is highly responsive, comfortable giving and receiving direct feedback, and willing to roll up their sleeves. Prior experience at a startup or supporting a growth-stage company is ideal.

This project starts ASAP, fully remote, 10-15 hours/week, for an estimated  3-6 month duration.

The hourly rate for this assignment is expected to be between $107 and $118 This range is an estimate; an employee’s compensation will be based on the employee’s qualifications, skillset, and relevant experience, specific client needs, project requirements, and other considerations permitted by law.

The Position
A global beauty and consumer products company is seeking a senior product liability litigator to provide high-level strategic support on a large talc and asbestos docket. This role is ideal for an experienced defense-side attorney who thrives in complex, high-stakes environments and prefers shaping litigation strategy rather than running trials. You will assess risk across hundreds of cases, support board-level reporting, develop litigation and settlement strategy, and partner with internal stakeholders to evaluate broader business and legal options. The ideal candidate brings deep asbestos or talc experience, strong judgment, and the ability to operate effectively in fast-paced, lean teams.

ASAP start, 20-25 hours/week, with an initial duration of 4-6 months, with potential to extend. The client is open to fully remote candidates with being in the NYC office once weekly a nice to have.

The hourly rate for this assignment is expected to be between $110 and $117. The ideal attorney has strong in-house experience supporting service-based businesses in regulated environments, is comfortable handling complex enterprise agreements, and can thrive in a fast-paced, sales-supported setting. Confidence, sound judgment, and the ability to manage competing priorities are critical, with access to senior legal stakeholders for initial guidance during onboarding.

This project starts ASAP, is expected to last 2 to 3 months and is remote with preference to candidates who can go on site in Northbrook, IL or Austin, TX. The hourly rate for this assignment is expected to be between $105 and $115.
