Transactions Healthcare Attorney (Based in CA, WA, OR, NM, TX, MT, or AK)
The Position
Our client is a not-for-profit Catholic healthcare system headquartered in Washington state. They are in need of a healthcare transactions attorney to support their team during a leave of absence.
This person will serve as a transactional counsel and will draft and negotiate healthcare transactions documents, including purchase agreements, joint venture and affiliation agreements, term sheets, and NDAs. This person will lead and coordinate legal due diligence efforts and assess legal and regulatory risks. They will collaborate with internal legal colleagues, operational leaders, and outside counsel to ensure alignment with legal, business, and mission objectives. This attorney will advise on regulatory compliance considerations related to healthcare transactions (e.g., Stark Law, Anti-Kickback Statute, HIPAA, and tax-exempt organization requirements). Lastly, they will be expected to support and advise business teams on legal risks and opportunities as related to entity structuring and healthcare delivery models.
This position is ideal for an experienced attorney with healthcare and nonprofit experience who thrives in a mission-driven, collaborative environment and can step in to support high-priority strategic initiatives. Experience with start-ups and innovation is a plus
The client is looking to have someone in the seat ASAP for 40 hours/week. The estimated duration for this role is 3 months and candidates can be fully remote as long as they're based in CA, WA, OR, NM, TX, MT, or AK.
The hourly rate for this assignment is expected to be between $100 and $120. This range is an estimate; an employee’s compensation will be based on the employee’s qualifications, skillset, and relevant experience, specific client needs, project requirements, and other considerations permitted by law.
