Payments Attorney
The Position
Our client, a well known platform company, is seeking a Payment Attorney to support an upcoming leave. This is a hybrid product and commercial counsel role, with approximately 70% focused on payments and the remaining 30% covering commercial contracts and light regulatory work. The ideal candidate brings experience in payments (especially from a regulated financial services or e-commerce setting), though attorneys with strong product counseling backgrounds who are ready to learn the payments space are also encouraged to apply. This attorney should be able to operate independently in a fast-paced, high-risk tolerance environments and have the skill to distill complex legal and technical concepts into clear language to non-attorneys.
The client is seeking to have someone start in late August with the project anticipated to last for 6 months. 40 hours/week, fully remote, with a preference for East Coast based candidates.
The hourly rate for this assignment is expected to be between $105 and $111. This range is an estimate; an employee’s compensation will be based on the employee’s qualifications, skillset, and relevant experience, specific client needs, project requirements, and other considerations permitted by law.
