Legal Operations Specialist (Fluent in Mandarin)
The Position
A global content and social platform is seeking a Legal Operations professional to support its growing U.S. legal function. Reporting directly to the company's sole U.S.-based attorney, this individual will play a key role in helping build the legal operations foundation for a growing international business.
Responsibilities include supporting outside counsel management, overseeing legal spend, invoice processing, and e-billing administration, reviewing routine commercial agreements such as NDAs, Statements of Work, and Purchase Orders, and making recommendations for future legal technology solutions as the legal function continues to scale. The ideal candidate has prior experience supporting a startup and lean legal department. The ability to read and write Chinese is a plus but is not required.
This project starts ASAP, for an initial 2-3 month duration, is fully remote, and requires 10–20 hours per week. Candidates local to the San Francisco Bay Area are also a plus.
The hourly rate for this assignment is expected to be between $66 and $76. This range is an estimate; an employee’s compensation will be based on the employee’s qualifications, skillset, and relevant experience, specific client needs, project requirements, and other considerations permitted by law.
