The Position
A leading consumer apparel and products company is seeking an experienced Regulatory and Compliance Attorney to support a broad range of product regulatory compliance and privacy matters. This attorney will serve as a key advisor to cross-functional business teams, helping the organization navigate evolving regulatory requirements while developing practical, business-focused compliance strategies.
The role will focus on product safety and compliance issues affecting consumer products, including Proposition 65, PFAS and related chemical regulations, labeling requirements, sustainability and ESG-related obligations, supply chain transparency laws, and privacy compliance matters. The attorney will also monitor emerging legislation, conduct legal research, and translate regulatory developments into actionable guidance for stakeholders across the business.
The ideal candidate will bring experience advising consumer products companies on regulatory compliance matters, strong familiarity with California regulatory frameworks, and experience supporting privacy compliance initiatives, including CCPA/CPRA and related state privacy laws. Candidates who thrive in collaborative, fast-paced environments and enjoy partnering closely with business teams will be particularly successful.
Targeting an ASAP start, this opportunity will begin at approximately 20 hours per week, with the potential to increase to 40 hours per week, and has an estimated duration of 6-12 months. Candidates local to eastern San Francisco, CA who are available to work onsite 2-3 days per week are preferred; however, remote candidates will also be considered.
The hourly rate for this assignment is expected to be between $108 and $118. This range is an estimate; an employee’s compensation will be based on the employee’s qualifications, skillset, and relevant experience, specific client needs, project requirements, and other considerations permitted by law.
