Corporate Generalist (CA Bar)

The Position
Our client is a utilities company that is based in the Bay Area. They are looking for a corporate generalist to support their team during a leave coverage to assist with overflow work. The role will involve a variety of responsibilities, including board meeting preparation, corporate financing, SEC readiness, executive compensation matters such as benefit plan audits, and subsidiary management. Prior industry experience is not required, as the focus is on strong corporate law experience and familiarity with the nature of the work. This attorney must be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and handling confidential/sensitive information. Candidates must be barred in California, have a strong background in corporate law and able to ramp quickly on company specifics. 

The position is fully remote, 40 hours per week, with a targeted mid-July start date. While not required, candidates based in the Bay Area are a plus, as they may have opportunities to join occasional onsite meetings and collaborate in person with the team. The anticipated duration of the engagement is five months.

The hourly rate for this assignment is expected to be between $120 and $132. This range is an estimate; an employee’s compensation will be based on the employee’s qualifications, skillset, and relevant experience, specific client needs, project requirements, and other considerations permitted by law.
