Finance Attorney (Energy)
The Position
Our client, a renewable energy company, is seeking an experienced Finance Attorney to support with some overflow work. This candidate should have a minimum 5 years of experience in renewable energy project finance and experience with:
- Experience in financing deals based on asset value and revenue generation rather than borrower creditworthiness.
- Understanding of Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs)
- Experience with tax equity transactions
- Membership Interest Purchase Agreements (MIPAs)
- Equity & Capital Contribution Agreements (ECCAs)
- Familiarity with the full suite of negotiated agreements specific to renewable energy project development.
The ideal candidate should be proactive and forward-thinking, independent and self-sufficient, and possess strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with both internal stakeholders and external legal teams.
The client is aiming for a mid-July start date and the duration is 6 months. 20-30 hours/week with potential to scale very quickly and the role is fully remote.
The hourly rate for this assignment is expected to be between $112 and $125. This range is an estimate; an employee’s compensation will be based on the employee’s qualifications, skillset, and relevant experience, specific client needs, project requirements, and other considerations permitted by law.
