IP Attorney (SaaS Patent Experience)

The Position
Our client, a global technology company, is seeking a senior IP counsel to support its intellectual property function. This role partners closely with senior legal leadership and plays a key role in advancing the company’s IP efforts across a range of complex, high-impact areas.

You’ll help execute IP strategy across patents, trademarks, and copyrights, working closely with senior leadership, internal stakeholders, and external counsel. The role also includes advising on IP-related aspects of licensing, partnerships, M&A transactions, and litigation within a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

The ideal candidate brings 10+ years of experience, including leading IP strategy and litigation in a global organization, along with strong patent expertise and experience supporting software or SaaS-based businesses; this person should be personable, communicative, collaborative, and able to ramp quickly in a fast-paced environment.

This project starts ASAP, is 30-40 hours per week for an estimated 6-12 month duration, and can be fully remote with a preference for West Coast candidates. Candidates local to the Bay Area who are open to occasional onsite work in San Francisco are a plus.

The hourly rate for this assignment is expected to be between $120 and $125. This range is an estimate; an employee’s compensation will be based on the employee’s qualifications, skillset, and relevant experience, specific client needs, project requirements, and other considerations permitted by law.
