Export Controls Attorney
The Position
A leading global semiconductor company is seeking an experienced trade compliance attorney to provide interim support to its business-facing export operations function. This attorney will work closely with legal and senior cross-functional stakeholders on day-to-day export matters, with a particular focus on EAR compliance, ECCN classifications, licensing, and related issues affecting manufacturing, logistics, and supply-chain operations.
The ideal candidate is a licensed attorney with relevant experience and substantive hands-on experience with EAR, ECCN classification, and export licensing. The role involves significant interaction with senior internal stakeholders, so the attorney should be comfortable independently advising business partners and translating trade requirements into practical operational guidance. Experience supporting APAC (China specifically), U.S., and EMEA regions would be a plus.
This project starts 11/9, is through 12/14 with potential to extend, is remote, and requires approximately 40 hours/week.
The hourly rate for this assignment is expected to be between $115 and $120. This range is an estimate; an employee’s compensation will be based on the employee’s qualifications, skillset, and relevant experience, specific client needs, project requirements, and other considerations permitted by law.
