Commercial Attorney
The position
Our client, a premier energy company is seeking a commercial attorney with 7-10 years of experience to support their legal team with some overflow work. This attorney will handle a mix of projects with varying levels of complexity, including agreements like PPAs, ground leases, tax sales, MSAs, SOWs, and NDAs. The role also involves corporate governance work and coordinating with local authorities to move projects forward.
The ideal candidate has experience working with physical assets and possesses strong legal judgment. We encourage applicants with past industry experience in construction and real estate, as well as those with expertise in handling PPAs and government regulatory matters. This attorney should have a 'roll-up-their-sleeves' mentality and be able to collaborate cross-functionally to drive projects forward. The ideal candidate is adaptable, team-oriented, and approaches their work with a collaborative mindset.
ASAP start, 40 hours/week with the project anticipated to last until EOY. The role is hybrid, requiring onsite presence a few times a week at the client's Walnut Creek, CA office.
The hourly rate for this assignment is expected to be between $110 and $115. This range is an estimate; an employee’s compensation will be based on the employee’s qualifications, skillset, and relevant experience, specific client needs, project requirements, and other considerations permitted by law.
