Contract Manager (Manufacturing or Energy Experience)

The Position
A boutique outside general counsel firm supporting venture-backed and high-growth companies is seeking a seasoned Contracts Manager to support day-to-day commercial contracting operations across a portfolio of startup clients.

This person will handle NDA review and negotiation, redline and negotiate commercial agreements including MSAs, SOWs, procurement/vendor agreements, and other commercial contracts. In addition to substantive contract work, this role will also own the operational and logistical side of the contract lifecycle process. Responsibilities include managing intake requests, triaging and organizing contract workflows, following up with stakeholders for missing information, routing agreements through DocuSign for execution, tracking signature status, and ensuring agreements are properly documented and filed after completion.

The environment is fast-paced and highly client-facing, requiring someone who is organized, responsive, commercially minded, and comfortable balancing multiple client priorities simultaneously. The ideal candidate will have exposure to industrial manufacturing and the energy sector, an in-house mindset and be comfortable serving as both a contracts negotiator and a central operational point person for contract management processes.

Experience managing high-volume commercial contract workflows and working directly with business stakeholders is strongly preferred.

This project starts ASAP, is ongoing, is remote, and requires 30-40 hours/week. The hourly rate for this assignment is expected to be between $65 and $75. This range is an estimate; an employee’s compensation will be based on the employee’s qualifications, skillset, and relevant experience, specific client needs, project requirements, and other considerations permitted by law.
