In Celebration: Disability Pride Month

At Paragon, we are celebrating Disability Pride Month by using these resources to educate ourselves, challenge ableism, and foster a more inclusive society. By amplifying the voices of individuals with disabilities and supporting their rights, we can create a world that celebrates diversity and recognizes every individual’s unique talents and contributions. This resource list offers valuable links and initiatives that promote awareness, support, and empowerment for the disability community.

• The American Bar Association offers a comprehensive resource page dedicated to Disability Pride Month. It features valuable information on how to become a Disability A.L.L.Y. (Advocate, Listen, Learn, and Yield), amplify disabled voices, and learn about the history of Disability Pride Month.
• Dream Young Arts & Media (D.Y.A.M.) is a non-profit organization dedicated to advocating for individuals who are neurodiverse, intellectually different, and developmentally or learning disabled. They offer a wealth of resources, including training videos and podcasts that define, describe, and support individuals with disabilities. 
• The Divas with Disabilities Project is dedicated to the participation and representation of Black and brown women with disabilities in the mass media. They highlight the achievements and stories of remarkable women breaking barriers and challenging societal norms.
