Paragon Legal CCPA Employee Personal Information Disclosure

This CCPA Employee Disclosure (or “Disclosure) is adopted to comply with the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) 2018, Cal. Civil Code Section 1798.100 et. seq., as amended, and related regulations, as may be further amended from time to time. This CCPA Employee Disclosure applies solely to Paragon Legal’s employees, contractors, or job applicants who reside in California. Any terms defined in the CCPA have the same meaning when used in this Disclosure.

This Disclosure describes the types of personal information that Paragon Legal may collect from you as an employee, contractor, or job applicant and the purposes for collecting such information. Information on your rights with respect to such personal information is also described in this Disclosure and who to contact to exercise those rights.

Sources of Personal Information: Paragon Legal collects your personal information from the following sources: you; job posting sites; recruiters; references provided by you; prior employers; job-related social media sites; background check companies; and California Bar site.

Third party Service Providers: Paragon Legal shares personal information with trusted service providers for the business purposes of services related to employees, contractors and job applicants, and the includes the following types of services: payroll, benefits, technical support, company business services, and relevant government agencies for legal obligations.

Data retention: Paragon Legal retains the personal information as long as necessary to facilitate the employment (contractor or prospective employee) relationship, or for other essential purposes such as complying with our legal obligations, maintaining business and financial records, resolving disputes, maintaining security, detecting and preventing fraud and abuse, or other necessary business purpose.

No sale or share: Paragon Legal does not sell or share your personal information as defined by CCPA.

You have the following rights with respect to your personal information upon verifiable consumer request and subject to statutory exceptions.

Right to know: California residents have the right to request information about our collection and use of personal information or access specific pieces of personal information subject to a limit of two requests per twelve-month period.

Right to correct: California residents have the right to request correction of inaccuracies in their personal information.

Right to delete: California residents have the right to request deletion of their personal information subject to certain exceptions.

Right to opt-out of sale of personal information: California residents have the right to opt-out of the sale of their personal information. Paragon Legal does not sell any personal information.

Right to opt-in: California residents have the right to request that personal information collected from minors under the age of 16 opt-in to the collection and use of their personal information. Paragon Legal does not knowingly collect any personal information of minors under the age of 16.

Right against discrimination: California residents have the right to not receive discriminatory treatment because they exercise their rights under CCPA. Paragon Legal does not knowingly discriminate against any customer for exercising its rights under CCPA.
