Nish Hossain

Nish is a legal staffing and business development expert based out of San Francisco and Palo Alto. As Director of Business Development for Paragon Legal, she provides unparalleled solutions for legal departments of all sizes, leveraging her extensive experience as a former IP litigator and product counsel to identify the perfect candidate fit for her clients. With a keen focus on relationship building, Nish is passionate about providing counsel to her clients on both macro and micro levels regarding hiring and career development.

Moreover, Nish is a diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) advocate and is dedicated to working with her clients to achieve their DEI goals. Prior to joining Paragon Legal, Nish was the Managing Director of Business Development at Major, Lindsey & Africa’s Silicon Valley office where she provided exceptional guidance to in-house and law firm clients. She also worked as a product counsel for Apple, Inc., and as an IP litigator for several prominent law firms such as Nixon Peabody, Goodwin & Procter, and Orrick, Herrington & Sutcliffe, where she specialized in trade secrets and complex IP litigation in the electronics and medical devices sectors.

Nish’s career began with electrical engineering at Schneider Electric, where she honed her hardware development skills. She holds a dual B.S. in Electrical and Biomedical Engineering from the University of Rhode Island and received her J.D. from King Hall (U.C. Davis School of Law).

As an east-coast native, Nish savors a good cup of clam chowder and Del’s Lemonade. In her free time, Nish indulges her inner geek and loves tinkering with custom computers, playing pc games and tabletop strategy games. She also enjoys powerlifting, camping, and going on hikes with her huskies.
