Our Story

In 2006, after years practicing at a top San Francisco law firm and in-house at several technology companies, all while raising a young family, Paragon’s founder Mae O’Malley set out to build a career that allowed her to continue practicing law but on her own terms. Paragon Legal was born from Mae’s own desire to chart a new path that provided greater professional flexibility combined with meaningful and challenging legal work. Paragon’s reputation and client base grew steadily under her leadership and soon became known as a premier source for flexible in-house counsel.

Diversity & Inclusion

Paragon Legal is a women-founded and women-led business, with a team that is over 40% people of color and over 50% female. Diversity is one of our core values, and we are proud to support many organizations and initiatives working to advance diversity in the legal profession.
