The idea of juggling legal counsel between two tech companies as different as Zazzle, an e-commerce, on-demand printing company, and Unity Technologies, a game platform company, might be overwhelming to some people. For Adam, the variety and cross-pollination benefits are invaluable, both for his personal work satisfaction and for his legal acumen. While in the morning Adam might handle a licensing deal for Zazzle, that afternoon he could be reviewing an advertising insertion order or commercial office lease for Unity. This diversification is characteristic of Adam and his approach to life. In between work and family, he's lived abroad in Hong Kong, started a fruit juice business, earned his Real Estate license and is a Certified Information Privacy Professional (CIPP). He also carves out the time to travel, recently attending the World Cup in Brazil with his son, and embarking on a 5-day road bike adventure in the Blue Ridge Mountains.
A member of the California, New York and Washington, D.C. bars, Adam earned his J.D. from The George Washington University Law School, and his B.A. in History from Clark University. With more than 18 years of legal experience, Adam's first law job was in Washington, D.C., at what is now Pillsbury Madison Shaw Pittman. Hearing the call of the West, Adam moved to San Francisco where he worked for what is now GemAlto NV and VeriSign Inc., before serving as SVP of Legal Affairs for Geeknet, Inc., responsible for all legal matters for the publicly traded e-commerce company. Prior to that, Adam served on the executive management team of Hands-On Mobile, Inc., and assisted in the company's sale to RockYou, Inc. In his free time, Adam can be found enjoying all the beauty and nature the Bay Area has to offer with his wife and three children.
