With a team of more than 60 top-notch attorneys specializing in a full spectrum of legal services, Paragon can provide the right corporate counsel resource to meet your specific needs. Meet the Paragon attorneys who are in the spotlight this month:
Nilima Patel works with the Autodesk legal team, providing a range of legal transactional support across multiple groups. Nilima enjoys the variety, flexibility and professional satisfaction she gains with her work as a senior counsel at Paragon. Nilima also carves out the time to help high-need, low-income refugees and immigrants from more than 50 countries as a member of the Board of Directors for the Bay Area nonprofit Refugee Transitions. Nilima's parents immigrated to the United States from India, and she felt a connection with Refugee Transitions' work helping newcomers become self-sufficient and successful in their new communities through education and community leadership services.
Before joining the Paragon team, Nilima worked at Farella Braun + Martel, where she provided legal counsel to many start-up and established clients. Prior to that, she was a lawyer at Simpson Thacher & Bartlett, in both New York and Palo Alto. Nilima graduated Cum Laude, Order of the Coif and Thurston Society, from Hastings College of the Law and completed her undergrad at UCLA. Nilima embarked on her first legal job between undergrad and law school, working as a paralegal at Wilson Sonsini during the height of the Internet boom and advising many technology start-ups on various issues facing new businesses.
In her personal time, you can find Nilima cooking, traveling and enjoying the outdoors in Marin County.
