For Ingrid, the role of a commercial transaction attorney is to help bring big ideas to life. This desire to cultivate growth and innovation makes her the ideal legal partner for any creative endeavor; it's why marketing and product development groups love working with her. Inspired by the ingenuity of the emerging tech economy since the beginning of her career in the early dotcom days, Ingrid's enthusiasm for promoting and protecting a client's vision has always set her apart. She brings extensive experience in e-commerce, technology, intellectual property, and advertising and marketing law to Paragon on projects with Zappos and Autodesk.
Prior to joining us, Ingrid served as in-house counsel for Walmart.com's marketing, merchandising and @WalmartLabs units. There, she managed the review of all marketing and promotions, related compliance counseling, licensing and partnership deals, and a wide range of other initiatives, including the launch of the retail giant's grocery delivery business in 2011. She also worked in-house at the global business software provider now known as Sage Software and IDG Books Worldwide, advising on trademark matters related to the For Dummies media franchise. Her firm credentials include stints at Thelen, Reid & Priest and Britton, Silberman & Cervantez. Ingrid earned her J.D. from Chicago-Kent College of Law/IIT and a B.S., magna cum laude, in administration of justice from California Lutheran University. Her passion for creative expression is no surprise to those who know her—she belongs to numerous Bay Area art museums and frequently attends exhibitions, theater performances and culinary events. Her childhood experience in competitive equestrian events (including a rodeo appearance), on the other hand, often does surprise people.
